Exciting Developments for 2025 you won’t want to miss :
A New Era in Our Synesthesia Soul Journeys!
Experiences at Anavrin have been cultivated and developed from not just text book learning by through application and long experience.
Are you struggling with sleep, discomfort, difficulty getting comfy, any myriad of everything inbetween where your mind just won’t switch off?
I have struggled with all the above and more. So how am I still pretty ok?
The old cliche: Yoga - and lots of it!
But not how you think.
If any of the above resonates with you then let me introduce you to one of your new besties for 2025: Nada Yoga (doesn’t translate to no yoga 😂)
This is our Vibration meditation experience, an already vibrant sensory experience with me, of sound used to relax and reset your entire being just by you simply ‘having a lie down!’, surrounded by gongs, singing bowls and other beautiful instruments played both strategically and intuitively.
Nada Yoga is the yoga of sound and it is wonderful! Many times over the years I have found balance through just listening - with my skin, my cells, my heart. The ears are simply a mode of transportation of vibration into our bodies, our other senses takes the frequencies to our very soul.
What is Nada Yoga and how can it help you?
Nada Yoga is an ancient practice that focuses on the transformative power of sound and vibration. Derived from the Sanskrit word "Nada," which means "sound" or "musical tone," and "Yoga," meaning union or connection, Nada Yoga is the "yoga of sound."
It teaches that sound is not just a means of communication, but a spiritual tool that can help unify the body, mind, and being.
At its core, Nada Yoga emphasises the use of sound to achieve deep states of meditation, awareness, and healing. It works on the understanding that everything in the universe is in vibration, and by tuning into these vibrations whether through music, chanting, gongs, or nature sounds we can align our own internal rhythms and connect with higher states of consciousness.
Key elements of Nada Yoga include:
Listening and Sound Meditation: Practitioners listen deeply to various sounds, such as chanting, singing bowls, gongs, or even their own breath. The focus is on mindful listening, which helps to quiet the mind and bring awareness to the present moment.
Mantras and Chanting: Repeating specific mantras (sacred sounds or phrases) is a common practice. The repetition of these sounds can create vibrations that promote healing, calmness, and spiritual growth.
Sound as Healing: In Nada Yoga, sound is viewed as a form of therapy, capable of influencing our emotional, mental, and physical states. It is believed that certain frequencies can bring balance and promote well-being.
Sound Vibration and the Body: Just as sound affects the mind, it is also thought to affect the body, as sound waves have the potential to heal or shift energy within us. In traditional practices, instruments like gongs, singing bowls, and bells are used to generate healing sound frequencies.
Nada Yoga can be experienced in various forms, from individual sound meditations to group sound healing sessions, and is often integrated into other yoga practices to enhance relaxation and focus. The goal is to harmonise the inner self with the universe, using sound as a pathway to enlightenment, healing, and self-awareness.

Synesthesia Soul Journeys, add a deeper layer of transformation through the healing power of sound. Where Nada Yoga invites us to explore the profound connection between sound and the universe, which is deeply rooted in ancient Indian philosophy, we learn that sound is more than just a means of communication; it is a powerful force that can heal, inspire, and transform our inner and outer experiences.
By incorporating sound into our sessions, we aim to enrich your journey and deepen your connection with yourself and the universe.
But that’s not all!
Our Synesthesia Soul Journeys will become a fully immersive experience that engages all your senses; sight, sound, smell, touch, and even taste, crafting a full-being journey that encourages you to explore your inner universe in a deeply personal and sensory-rich way.
It’s our innovative design of a comprehensive sensory extravaganza designed to guide you into a state of profound presence and self-discovery.
Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to involuntary experiences in another. For example, individuals with synesthesia may "see" colours when they hear music, "taste" shapes, or "hear" sounds when they touch certain textures.
Though it's a rare condition, the concept of sensory blending has inspired artists, musicians, and healers to explore ways of combining the senses in a more intentional and creative manner. I experience this, although I didnt know what it was a thing as it’s my normal. Podcast episode incoming on this!
In a Synesthesia Experience, the idea is to intentionally engage multiple senses at once, creating a deeply immersive environment that heightens perception and invites a fuller connection to the present moment. These sensory sound journeys aim to replicate the feeling of sensory blending, which can enhance self-awareness, creativity, relaxation, and healing.

How Can Each Sense Be Incorporated in a Synesthesia Sound Experience?
Sound The core of the experience is sound itself, whether through gongs, singing bowls, chanting, toning, or soundscapes. Each sound can be tuned to different frequencies, believed to affect the body and mind in various ways. The vibrations can help clear blockages, induce relaxation, or deepen meditation.
Sight Visual elements such as lighting (e.g., soft, coloured lights or projections), visual art, or mandalas can be used to complement the sound experience. Some practices may even incorporate visualisations to deepen meditation, where participants are encouraged to imagine or see particular colours or symbols while listening to sound.

Touch The sense of touch can be integrated through the use of vibrational instruments like sound pillows or vibrating mats that allow participants to physically feel the sound frequencies. Additionally, gentle touch or hands-on practices (e.g., reiki, Thai yoga massage, or simply laying hands on specific energy points) can be included to provide a physical connection to the experience, promoting a sense of grounding and relaxation.

Smell Aromatherapy can be a powerful addition to a sensory sound journey. Essential oils or incense, such as lavender for relaxation or frankincense for spiritual focus, can enhance the mood and deepen the emotional experience. Certain scents can evoke memories, calm the nervous system, or even help facilitate emotional release, providing another layer to the sound journey.
Taste While often overlooked in traditional sound healing, taste can also be incorporated through small rituals like tasting a particular food or drink that enhances the experience. For example, sipping a calming herbal tea, tasting honey or spices during a pause, or using flavoured water as part of the ritual. Taste can heighten mindfulness and bring a subtle pleasure to the experience.
Creating a Full-Sensory Synesthesia Journey By blending all of these sensory elements together, we create a multi-sensory experience that engages the entire body and mind, into deeper relaxation, transformation, and healing.
Synesthesia Experiences could include:
Sound: Begin with the resonating sounds of gongs or singing bowls to establish a calming atmosphere.
Sight: Softly dimmed lighting, perhaps with gentle projections or a visualisation of a peaceful scene.
Touch: Incorporate cushions or mats that vibrate gently with sound, or provide a tactile experience with guided movements or healing touch.
Smell: Distribute calming aromas such as lavender or sandalwood, either through essential oils, incense, or diffusers.
Taste: End the experience with a small, mindful tasting, perhaps something grounding like herbal tea or a fruit, enhancing the theme of nourishment. The goal of a Synesthesia Experience is to invite participants to fully immerse themselves in a holistic, multi-dimensional experience that encourages healing, deep relaxation, and heightened awareness of their body, mind, and being.
Its about inviting people to be present in each moment, feeling the interconnectedness of all senses and finding harmony in the world around them-to lose yourself while you find yourself all at the same time.
Every session is carefully explained each time so you can choose how you flow with and without!
Anavrins unique experiences evolve with your journeys, founded upon deep understanding from a place of actively using what is offered.
Nada yoga and Synesthesia have been a huge part of my path to peace - and it can for you too.
Doesn’t that sound delicious?!
🌿 Sound as Medicine Sound has long been recognised as a powerful healing tool, increasingly validated by modern science.
From chanting to toning, gongs to soundscapes, sound frequencies have been shown to influence our mental, emotional, and physical well-being, promoting healing and overall wellness.
What to Expect from Our Synesthesia Soul Journeys in 2025
Throughout this year, we will delve into sound in various forms, whether through gentle chanting, soothing toning, or immersing ourselves in rich soundscapes. These practices aim to facilitate deeper meditation and mindfulness, encouraging you to engage more fully with your inner landscape.
Each session will continue to be carefully designed to promote healing, self-discovery, and a profound sense of connection. Nada Yoga beautifully complements the principles of mindfulness and self-awareness.
As we immerse ourselves in sound, we develop a selfawareness and a heightened sense of presence, observing our thoughts and feelings with compassion, allowing the vibrations to lead us to deeper insights. This mindful listening opens channels for healing and connection, both within ourselves and with others.
The Healing Power of Sound Sound therapy has been shown to alleviate stress, reduce anxiety, and promote emotional equilibrium. The frequencies of sound can harmonise the body and mind, providing a sense of peace and rejuvenation.
As we explore sound in our Synesthesia Soul Journeys, you’ll have the opportunity to experience this healing in a supportive and nurturing environment.
I’ve always felt the magic of sound, you know how much I love singing! Mantras and chanting are among my favorites, and I fondly recall bringing gongs to my Nana's house, where I first experienced their profound effects at a young age. Music, singing, and dance have always been my passions, resonating with the heart's connection to sound that captivates me, whether for myself or for others. This is a reawakening to the healing potential of sound, and now we have the tools to explore it further.
From creating and harmonising to cleansing and releasing, sound principles are being utilised in cutting-edge science.
Stanford University researchers are discovering acoustics that can generate new heart tissue!
This reminds me of Edgar Cayce’s assertion that ‘sound would be the medicine of the future.’ I truly believe we are experiencing a revival of sound's power, and now we possess the tools to explore it further. “This image illustrates the ‘cymatics’—the geometric patterns formed in heart cells when exposed to various sounds.

In bio-acoustic sound medicine, it is taught that sounds imprint every cell, and science continues to validate this ancient principle. Cardiologist Sean Wu, MD, PhD, alongside acoustic bio-engineer Utkan Demirci, PhD, utilisedacoustics to manipulate heart cells into complex patterns. A simple adjustment in frequency and amplitude sets the cells in motion, guiding them to new positions and securing them in place. Acoustics can shape a form that mimics natural cardiac tissue.
Through sound, they can generate new tissue to repair damaged hearts, and this technique can also be applied to reconstruct other organ tissues and blood vessels. Sounds are employed not only to create and harmonise but also to cleanse and release. These principles are utilised in science through high-precision acoustical generators, and they can also be safely implemented by individuals using non-invasive, natural harmonic sounds, such as our voices and acoustic instruments.
