🍂🧡 Autumnal mornings, dark, grey & rainy are beautiful!
Elemental healing; take what you need to nurture & grow. Balance the extremes through choice & change.

It’s not for everyone, I know. Even if it rains in July, it can really affect mood and focus.
This is exacerbated with the change of season.
We, as humans, naturally begin shifting into hibernation mode as the daylight hours lessen.
This increases the feelings of tiredness, lack of motivation which ripples out across all we do as we try to maintain the same energy & timetable we live throughout the spring/summer months.
Let’s start now with Winter Bodies are Made in Summer focus for ways to keep you buoyant over the next 6 months of early starts, even changing the viewpoint during the year?

Yoga to help early mornings for energy in autumn.
Incorporating a consistent yoga routine into your mornings can be a wonderful way to boost your energy and mood, especially during autumn when daylight hours are shorter.
Here are some tips and poses to get you started:
Start with Sun Salutations:
Even if the sun is not up, performing a series of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) can help awaken your body and mind. These dynamic sequences of movements increase blood flow, stretch major muscle groups, and invigorate your system.
Incorporate Pranayama:
Practicing breath control exercises such as Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) or Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing) can enhance oxygenation, clear the mind, and boost your energy levels.
Embrace Energising Poses:
Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I): This powerful pose strengthens the legs and core while opening the chest for better breathing.
Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): Balancing poses like Tree Pose can help ground you and improve concentration, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.
Camel Pose (Ustrasana): A gentle backbend like Camel Pose can open up the chest and heart area, counteracting the tendency to hunch and promoting a sense of openness and vitality.
End with a Gentle Cooldown: Finish your practice with some gentle stretches and a few minutes of Savasana (Corpse Pose) to allow your body to absorb the benefits of your practice.
Create a Cosy Environment: As the days get shorter and cooler, creating a warm, inviting space for your yoga practice can make a big difference. Use soft lighting, candles, or even a sunrise alarm clock to simulate natural light.
Stay Consistent: Consistency is key. Try to practice at the same time each morning to establish a routine that your body and mind can rely on.
Listen to Your Body: Autumn can be a time of transition, so be mindful of how your body feels each day and adjust your practice accordingly. Some days you may need a more vigorous flow, while other days a gentle, restorative practice might be best.
Active Energy Stimulation:
Red light therapy and the Shakti mat offer holistic wellness benefits for physical and mental health. Red light therapy aids in cellular repair, skin health, pain relief, and muscle recovery. The Shakti mat stimulates acupressure points, reducing stress, muscle tension, and improving circulation. During darker seasons, these tools can combat seasonal affective disorder and stress. Combining red light therapy and the Shakti mat can enhance their effects for overall well-being, skin improvement, stress relief, and relaxation.
By integrating these elements into your morning routine, you can cultivate a sense of energy, warmth, and well-being that carries you through the shorter, cooler days of autumn.
For my own personal journey, red light therapy and use of a Shakti mat are an integral part of my Sadhana!
Why do I use this?
Red light therapy has gained popularity due to its numerous reported benefits. This non-invasive treatment involves the use of low-level wavelengths of red light, which can penetrate the skin to stimulate cellular repair and improve overall skin health.
In yoga, red light therapy can enhance physical performance by reducing muscle soreness and inflammation, allowing practitioners to recover more quickly and deepen their practice.
After yogasana practice I find helps in reducing stress and promotes relaxation, making it a perfect complement to the meditative and calming aspects for pranayama.
What i also love about using red light therapy is its skin-rejuvenating properties. My skin feels fresher and relaxed. This truly improves my internal aggravation should I be experiencing an ADHD episode, it takes the edge off for sure.
Skin prep before and after enhances the benefits that it can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, and promote collagen production, leading to a more youthful and radiant complexion. Additionally, it can help with conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema by reducing inflammation and promoting healing.
Combining with the acupressure mat, mornings can be transformed in spa style self care routines that will improve your whole being.
Are you ready to evolve your process?!

Love to you,
Indië
