Meditation and ritual for you

The waning moon is a powerful period for introspection, release, and transformation. As the moon gradually shrinks in the sky, it symbolises a natural time for letting go of what no longer serves us and making space for new growth. This meditation is designed to align your intentions with this celestial phase, offering a serene and focused approach to personal evolution.

•Preparation:

Find a Quiet Space: Choose a peaceful environment where you won't be disturbed. This could be a room in your home, a garden, or any place that feels safe and comfortable.

•Set the Ambiance: Dim the lights or light a candle to create a calming atmosphere. Soft, instrumental music can also enhance the experience.

•Gather Your Materials: You may want to have a journal and pen nearby to jot down any insights that arise during the meditation.

•Meditation Steps

Centring Your Breath:

Sit comfortably with your spine straight. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Focus on your breath, allowing it to become slower and more rhythmic. Feel the air filling your lungs and then gently leaving your body.

Visualisation:

Picture the waning moon in your mind's eye. Visualise its soft, diminishing light casting a gentle glow around you.

Imagine this light enveloping you, providing a sense of calm and protection.

Release and Let Go:

Reflect on any thoughts, habits, or emotions that you feel ready to release. These could be negative beliefs, lingering grudges, or unhelpful patterns.

As you breathe out, imagine these aspects dissipating into the moonlight, gradually fading away with each exhale.

Affirmations for Renewal:

Silently or aloud, repeat affirmations that resonate with you. Examples include: "I release what no longer serves me," "I am open to new possibilities," or "I trust in the process of transformation."

Feel the weight lifting from your shoulders as you embrace these affirmations.

Grounding:

After a few minutes of focused breathing and visualisation, bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Wiggle your fingers and toes, stretch gently, and take a moment to acknowledge any insights or emotions that surfaced during the meditation.

Integration:

Journaling: Spend a few minutes writing down your experiences, thoughts, and any new intentions you wish to set. This helps in grounding the meditation and clarifying your path forward.

Daily Practice: Consider repeating this meditation during the waning moon phase each month to continually support your journey of release and renewal.

By aligning with the natural rhythms of the moon, you can harness its waning energy to foster personal growth and transformation.

This meditation not only facilitates letting go but also cultivates a sense of peace and readiness for new beginnings.

Stay wild moon child,

Love you,

Indië

xoxo
